Hi friend! I’m Kelly.

I’m a 28 year old follower of Jesus, trying my best to live a life that honors Christ & points people to Him. My high-school-sweetheart-of-a-hubby and I have been married for 6+ years, most of which we have spent moving around the country for his Air Force career. We’re Chicagoland natives currently living in Wyoming (with close access to Colorado, so we spend a lot of time there). We have two Australian Shepards, Boone & Rizzo, that we unashamedly treat like our children.

In my spare time I have a thing for organizing everything, spending time in the mountains, & eating ice cream. The hubs & I are escape room enthusiasts, overall homebodies, and aspiring outdoor adventurers. I’m passionate about living minimally & mindfully to make room for what matters most, and in optimizing our time in each place & season that God places us in.

into the wild

The Pruim Life (pronounced Prime) was created back in 2014 in an attempt to share pieces of my heart and life, in the hopes that it might encourage or stir something up in others.  You can get the full origin story here, but in short I felt the call to not keep silent about the ways that God was working in my life so that I didn’t rob him from receiving glory that He deserves. Plus, He was teaching me some pretty practical things that I thought others might benefit from knowing too.

After about a year & a half I took an unplanned, longer-than-anticipated hiatus from blogging as I invested more attention on my day-to-day living, but over the last three years this space never left my mind. Making a return to blogging is still a work in progress as I figure out how to best invest my time, but I want to make room again for sharing the ways God is revealing Himself to me, teaching me, and working on my heart – which unfolds in so many different ways. I’m no expert on life, or anything that I share about here, but I am a lifelong learner and I want to pass along what I have grasped & experienced to others with the hope that it might be of value to you too.

In it’s current state, The Pruim Life exists to share the practical & the profound things God is continually teaching me, in order to point others to Jesus and/or a more intentional and fulfilling life.
